We were fortunate to welcome Geetha Reddy (Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom) in 2021 as a new Associate Editor. In line with our new page budget allocated by PsychOpen, Issue No 1 of 2021 includes 17 original research articles, two theoretical articles, and one commentary, as well as our editorial report, and Issue No 2 includes 18 original research articles and one theoretical article. Many thanks to all the authors!
In 2021, JSPP received 290 new submissions (compared to 235 in 2020, 186 in 2019, 148 in 2018, 101 in 2017, and 79 in 2016). 137 submissions (47.9%) were desk-rejected and an additional 39 (15.5%) were rejected after review. The average number of days to reject was 31. The average number of days to accept was 214.
To date, JSPP has published (not including our editorial articles) 311 peer-reviewed articles (39 of which were published in 2021). According to Google Scholar, these articles have been cited 6347 times (as of February 14, 2022) (see
